Hello, Tribe!

As we ride the high of "the best is yet to come" wishes and "New Year, New Me" posts, let's have a real convo about resolutions. You know those lofty promises we make to ourselves while the New Year's Eve champagne is still bubbling? Yeah, those. We set new goals and are ready to conquer the world! But come February (okay, mid-January), the excitement starts to fizzle out, and everything begins to feel like a conspiracy against your willpower. Then, you find yourself stressed over not fulfilling your resolution as expected.
Let's nip the disappointment in ourselves in the bud because who has time for that anyway? Remember, life isn't linear. It's unrealistic to expect a smooth, obstacle-free journey toward your goals, so mentally plan to cut yourself some slack as needed.

Here are a few tips to be stress-free instead of stressed out by your goals.
1. Set Realistic Goals: Aiming for a marathon by next month might be a stretch if you have yet to run a mile. Start with a short run a few times a week and go from there.
2. Embrace Flexibility: Some days, you'll be superrrrr productive, and other days, getting out of bed will be your biggest accomplishment. Both are fine.
3. Celebrate the Small Wins: Managed to drink water instead of soda with your Chinese food? Pat yourself on the back!
4. Remember Your Why: Keep reminding yourself why you set these goals in the first place. It wasn't to make your life miserable, right? Use your why to motivate you to keep going!
So, tribe, let's approach our resolutions to build ourselves up during the ups and downs of the process. After all, life's too short for unnecessary pressure and stress!
