Have you ever been so overwhelmed by everything on your to-do list that you don't get anything done? Have you ever pushed something off until the last minute and then found yourself stressed out and scrambling to do it before the deadline? These are just a few examples of what we procrastinators go through. What if I told you procrastination doesn't have to be a way of life?

People may claim that they work better under pressure, but they are likely experiencing stress and anxiety leading up to the task. It often occurs when the reward is closer, such as when we approach a deadline. Luckily for us, a member of our tribe, certified mindset and life coach Elizabeth Azeizat freely shared actionable tips for overcoming procrastination.
The Secret To Overcoming Procrastination:
1. Start Small: Break down tasks into smaller, more manageable pieces to reduce feeling overwhelmed. Focus on accomplishing a smaller goal first to build motivation and confidence.
2. Celebrate Small Wins: Appreciate and celebrate small achievements. This positive reinforcement will encourage you to keep going.
3. Be Kind to Yourself: Speak kindly to yourself and practice self-compassion. Doing so will make you more likely to attempt tasks and overcome procrastination.
4. Embrace Rest: Allow yourself to rest when needed. Resting can make you more productive in the long run.
5. Create Accountability: Make a daily promise to yourself and follow through with it. Start with something small and achievable, then gradually work your way up.
Breaking the habit of procrastination requires a change in mindset and overall willingness to do so. By celebrating small wins, breaking tasks into manageable pieces, being kind to ourselves, embracing rest, and creating accountability, we can overcome procrastination and live a more productive life.
